Great Holiday Experience at Low-Cost Corfu

March 28, 2012

If you’re after a great holiday with plenty of variety that won’t cost the earth, why not try Corfu? Known as the Emerald Isle – and for good reason too – this glorious corner of the Ionian Islands is packed with virtually every holiday experience you can possibly imagine, and then some.

Holidays to Corfu give you great beaches, bustling resorts, vibrant nightlife and all the entertainment you could ever need, which makes it a hit with families. Sidari offers plenty of fun in the sun with a cracking mix of child-friendly beaches, top-notch hotels and lively evening entertainment in the form of bars, clubs and Karaoke. Or if you’re after some serious nights out where you can dance ‘til dawn and sleep it off on the beach the next day, neon-lit Kavos will suit you down to a T.

But it’s not all about lively towns and crowded sands. You can visit Corfu for a get-away-from-it-all style of holiday by opting for one of the quieter resorts. In the North, Acharavi – once a sleepy old town – has since blossomed into a lovely family-friendly resort. It’s quiet enough to give you peaceful days on the beach with plenty of your own space, but just big enough to offer a good choice of attractions and entertainment for the kids.

For those on a budget, you’ll find plenty of cheap Greece holidays to suit any sized wallet. Choose a late deal on a package holiday to grab a great bargain complete with flights, accommodation and resort transfers, or take control of your holiday by booking your flight and hotel separately. This option is best booked in advance as unlike package holidays, scheduled flights tend to be cheaper the earlier you book.

Wherever you stay and whatever you do, Corfu is a real gem with so much to offer. Why not come and see for yourself?

Take yourself out of the comfort zone by relaxing

February 17, 2012

The UK has some of the most beautiful countryside and cottages to rent anywhere in the world, depending on how deep into the country you want to go you can actually scale how quiet it gets and how “cut off” you will be from the rest of society. People used to life in the city often chose to live in busy cities because they like all of the modern conveniences that the city exposes them to, however, just because you are a city person does not mean that you would not appreciate a break in the country.

Arguably die hard city dwellers will like a break in the countryside even more as they will really be able to appreciate the relaxation and tranquillity of the countryside, however, for many there does seem to be a mental block with regards to visiting the countryside because, as strange as this may sound, for some people such tranquillity would push them out of their comfort zone.

In the twenty first century people work longer ours and take shorter holidays while also staying connected to the office stress no matter where in the world they are or what they are doing with their wireless devices and mobile phones. This kind of lifestyle is becoming increasingly normal and as a norm some people are totally taken aback at the prospect of spending any time in a place which does not allow them a mobile phone signal or is some instances even a basic Internet connection!
